Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette: For When You Want To Be A Mermaid

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette: For When You Want To Be A Mermaid

I regretfully admit that I was slow to the Urban Decay eyeshadow palette love. Not because I was a hold out, or wanted to be contrary, but because I was broke for an extended period of time. I still need to scrape up my coins and go ahead and buy the Naked palettes, if I don’t feel the Makeup Revolution ones are sufficient dupes. But anyway, onto the Vice 4 palette. My boyfriend, being the genius that he is, gave me a gift card to Sephora for an undisclosed amount *Birdman hand rub* and I got to run amock. The first thing I picked up was Urban Decay’s Vice 4 palette, because although nudes are great, I can’t turn down anything with super bright colors.

So let me tell you how giddy I was when this first arrived. First of all, the packaging is hella dope. The actual palette comes in a pouch (sorry I forgot to take a pic). Then the palette itself is just gorgeous, and the mirror, OH THE MIRROR! The mirror is the exact same size as the bottom half of the palette. You rarely get mirrors like this. Hell, even the duo sided brush that comes with it is good quality.

Now for the actual shadows themselves. They feel amazing. They are soft, smooth, and blend like a dream. They are highly pigmented and the bright colors and matte shades are true to color. Some of the more shimmery shades require a heavier hand, but they do build up nicely.

A finished look with the Vice 4 Palette. I felt like a wintery mermaid that day.

All in all I give this palette 2 thumbs up. They only downside I can think of is if you just aren’t into bright colors. But if that’s the case, why are you here lol?
