Due to my hair’s texture, it’s a bit hard to tell if I’m seeing faster growth than usual unless I have my hair in braids or some other protective style. I started using the Highly Textured Growth Serum while my hair was loose and found something really interesting happened. When touching my scalp I could feel new growth. Similar to when my hair was relaxed and my natural texture was growing in. This hair felt thicker and more tightly coiled. I can’t say that this growth serum has changed my hair texture, but I can say that the speed with which it grew when I first started using it was a jolt to my senses. My hair has been dry lately and retaining moisture this winter has been difficult, so my hypothesis is that the speed in which the hair was growing didn’t allow it to match the dryness of the rest of my hair, which may be why the texture felt different. I currently have in crotchet faux
I have been using it every other day as per the instructions, but I really prefer using it on a clean, freshly washed scalp. It’s invigorating. It’s tingly, but not itchy. Remember those York Peppermint Patty commercials where someone would take a bite and then breathe out icy air? That’s what this feels like after applying to your scalp right after you wash your hair. I’ve also gotten compliments on how good it smells.
All in all, I like this product. Yes, it is a bit pricey ranging from $13-$50 depending on what size bottle you get but, it is a quality product made by a small business owner. You aren’t going to be getting mass produced, sold in big box stores Wild Growth Oil prices from small businesses but you will get a fresh, quality, hand crafted product with a direct way to contact the owner and creator. This is definitely my preferred route when I can afford it.
