Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette Review

Juvia’s Place Nubian 2 Palette Review

Over the past few months I’ve been seeing more and more Instagram posts and YouTube videos raving over the Juvia’s Place Nubian 1 and Nubian 2 palettes. So being the makeup hypebeast that I am, I had to get both of them. I started with the Nubian 1 and loved it so much I picked up the Nubian 2. The colors of the Nubian 2 palette are so pigmented and blendable that I was surprised I hadn’t heard of the brand sooner. The Nubian 2 palette is double the size of the Nubian 1 palette and that is reflected in the price difference. The Nubian 1 palette retails for $25.00, while the Nubian 2 palette retails for $35.00. However, there is often a sale or promo going on. ( I just checked and the prices are $23.50 and $28.99 respectively)

Since the Nubian 1 palette is so similar to the Morphe 35O palette and everyone has seen that a million times I am just swatching the Nubian 2 palette.

Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty. Swatches!

All in all, I love this palette. The colors are gorgeous and highly pigmented (although my iPhone camera didn’t quite capture this, but I only had time for quick selfies this day). They apply smoothly and blend easily, with little to no fallout depending on whether you swipe or pack on the color. The colors are also amazing for deeper skin tones. There is a good selections of mattes (4) vs shimmers (8), but the shimmers aren’t obnoxiously glittery or childish. Surprisingly, I have no cons on this palette, and I would highly recommend it, whether a beginner or a pro.

If you have this palette, let me know your thoughts or share pictures of the looks you created.
