Oily skin can be tough to deal with, especially if you love wearing makeup. Here are my top picks for the best foundations for oily skin.
1. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra
The priciest of the bunch at $47, but one of my holy grail products. If I want medium to full coverage that will last all day, I go for my Lancome. I wear the shade 530 Suede C.
2. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless
I’m so glad that Maybelline has extended their shade range in the Fit Me collection. This provides medium to full coverage on a budget. I wear the shade Mocha.
3. NYX Total Control Drop Foundation
I was skeptical of this at first. NYX face products have a history of causing me breakouts and clogging my pores. But I can say that I love this foundation. It gives a beautiful satin finish, that doesn’t start to look greasy and it is also on the more affordable side. I wear the shade Deep Cool.
4. Black Opal Creme to Powder Foundation
What I deem as a slept on product. Black Opal Creme to Powder Foundation gives a natural finish and keeps you from looking like a greaseball for an extended period of time. The only downside is that, like other creme to powder foundations, it does transfer. Wear it on a day that you won’t be hugging people. I wear the shade Beautiful Bronze. Unfortunately, it looks like this particular formula has been discontinued. 🙁
5. Mirabella Skin Tint Creme
This is a product I picked up on a trip to Canada. It is full coverage, but not at all heavy or cakey. I matched this to my deeper summer skin color and wear the shade IV W.
Let me know what your favorite foundations are for oily or combination skin.

Oily skin is something I get particularly in the summer- so this point is very useful for me! I currently use the MAC Matchmaster foundation which has suited me very well – I think the NYX foundation in this list seems like an interesting one to try out.

I was really surprised how well the NYX foundation held up on my oily skin this summer. It’s actually been my go to because it is so light. I wish I could use MAC foundations, but they’ve always made me break out 🙁
